Empowerment of Indigenous Women in Africa and Asia

This project aimed to strengthen the empowerment of Indigenous women in Africa and Asia through institutional capacity building, strategic planning, regional coordination, and advocacy, particularly in the context of increased vulnerabilities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Economic empowerment of girls/women and advocacy for the enrolment of more girls in schools as precursors to end gender-based violence in indigenous communities

This project aimed to address the structural drivers of gender-based violence (GBV) in Indigenous communities by promoting women’s economic empowerment and advocating for girls’ education as key prevention strategies. It targeted Indigenous women and girls in five communities across the East and Adamawa Regions, where poverty, harmful social norms, low school enrollment of girls, and limited access to economic opportunities increase vulnerability to violence and exclusion.
Capacity Building of Indigenous Peoples on the REDD+ Process in Cameroon

Ce projet visait à renforcer la participation effective, éclairée et équitable des Peuples Autochtones au processus REDD+ au Cameroun, en leur permettant de comprendre les mécanismes techniques, institutionnels et décisionnels, et d’y défendre leurs droits, savoirs et intérêts.
