Supreme decision-making body composed of approximately 30 Indigenous women’s organizations The General Assembly is the supreme decision-making body of AIWO-CAN. It defines the organization’s overall vision, strategic orientations, and policy directions, and safeguards adherence to its mission, values, and objectives.
It is composed of approximately thirty (30) Indigenous women’s organizations and community-based organizations, ensuring strong community ownership, legitimacy, and representativeness. The General Assembly approves key institutional documents, elects members of the Board of Directors, and provides overall strategic guidance to the organization.
